Wow, it has been years since I blogged last. Being a Mommy doesn't leave much time for putting your thoughts down in writing. Since last time I posted, I worked nights for a year until I found out I was pregnant. My little guy (my first singleton) just turned a year and I had a tough year with 3 kids 2 and under. We're now looking for a bigger place to fit all the little people who are sharing a bedroom. My 7 year old is still in a toddler bed so that we can fit them all in and I'm reluctant to buy a bunkbed since my boy twin Y is a daredevil who loves to "fly" off high heights. Which brings me to this post. I have my twins in cribs- M in a Stokke and Y in a Nurseryworks crib, both Craigslist finds. (The expensive Italian ones from my first twins were destroyed after 4 years of use) Y is REALLY hard on his things and has been climbing and shaking his drop side rail for some time now. 2 days ago the rail came crashing down and is unable to be fixed. I know drop sides are recalled but I figured I would get rid of it soon anyways. I would keep him in his crib as a toddler bed if he would stop waking us all up when dancing at 5 am. so for now we have got to get another crib. M is totally unwilling to give up her space in her crib (she would keep it until she's 9 if I let her) and my baby K is in a porta crib. So... I have to get another crib. Since I would probably use the crib for K as soon as we move I want to get a nice sturdy crib. I LOVE our Stokke crib and our 3 Stokke chairs- the original kinderzeat, european tripp trapp and the newer tripp trapp with baby rail and would really like another Stokke crib however it's waaaay out of our price range. The crib is amazing, it rolls easily from room to room, no drop rails, converts to a bassinet and a childs bed as well. It's made to last forever. There is no picture more beautiful than a hand sketched portrait. I have always dreamed of having each person in our family sketched. It's quite hard to find someone talented enough to capture the essence of the person in the portrait but feisty, frugal, and fabulous has found someone who really seems to be a true artist. The Dirty Shirt is giving away a LeapFrog Leapster 2 with a game. My 5 year old son learned to read from the LeapFrog Letter Factory DVD and I'm thrilled to see a game for it. Although I'm not a big fan of kids with electronic devices and addicted to handheld games, it would be nice to have something educational to distract my son when we're out. The I Spy games also look really nice.

Dreaming of redoing our apartment (maybe we should just move!)
When we finally move and can give my kids their own rooms, I have a list of decorating ideas. For my daughter's room I would like to decorate with some original ETSY prints from different artists. Wishing Willow is now giving away a beautiful Sofi and the Fish art print from Holli.etsy.com,
I happen to think that the FLOR system is the smartest around. Ever get some dirt on your carpet that you weren't able to get it out? When I was in bedrest Powerade spilled all over my white carpet. No matter how many times I cleaned it or what cleaners I used I still have this ugly black stain. We moved the beds to cover it up, but now know to buy FLOR tiles for our next apartment and I never have to worry about stained carpets again. What is the FLOR system? My baby son will not sleep in his crib without the bumper on. He loves to cuddle up to it which is kind of scary with all the SIDS risks. My older son had the mesh breathable bumper on his crib. Besides being quite ugly, it wont fit in the baby's stokke crib.
